Windows XP: Getting a black screen when I start up my laptop.?

So I was trying to hook up my laptop to my flatscreen with one of those VGA cables. Couldn't figure out how to do it. Someone said to make sure all my drivers are up to date. So I downloaded some of the latest drivers for XP. then I restarted my laptop, and at first it booted up like normal, then I noticed right before the windows screen is supposed to pop up, it just goes black. NOTHING on the screen. I know windows booted kinda normally cuz I can hear the little chime it does every time it opens. So it's like everything is running but nothing is on the screen. How do I fix this? I took it to the Geek squad and they said they can fix it with the recovery disk, but it would cost $200, and all my info saved in there would be erased. So I'm wondering if there's anyway I can fix this myself? Maybe someway get to keep all my info? Please help.

He fought for what he believed in. He allowed the government to close down until he made the majority opposition capitulate to him. Obama doesn't have the backbone for the fight. The right move would of been to let the tax cuts expire and force the Republicans into a real compromise. Republicans have constituents in need of the unemployment extension as well. If Obama had any political savvy he would of used the power of the press to paint the Republicans as villains as Clinton did so well with a Republican congress. In short, Obama capitulated and gave Republicans everything they wanted in exchange for an extension of unemployment benefits. Hopefully, this dies in congress because this kind of legislation will continue to bury us in debt.

Hey everyone. I am a employee at a planetarium on a college campus, and we are having a brainstorming meeting coming up. I have been igned to the "What would make our planetarium more cool/ how can we bring more people in?" section. What can I do to make my lap top run faster? Tried everything I know. Please help:)?

I just upgraded my Roadrunner to the speed just bellow "turbo charged" & my lap top is running a bit faster but there still seems to be a problem with speed. Things I have tried so far: scanning & defraging C & D, ran complete CCleaner, ran Malwarebytes, ran a full virus scan, ran anti-spyware, got completely rid of programs I don't use. Yesterday in the early afternoon I had my right wisdom teeth pulled out. I was awake and only given novocain to numb me up. Procedure was great, went by quickly and the rest of the day I spent drooling on myself with an ice pack on my face. I barely at anything besides a little cup of yogurt and a bowl of congee (rice soup). I took my first amoxicillin at around 4:30, then the next one around 10. Then at about 11:30 I took one vicodin 5/500. At about 12 my hands started to get really cold and tingly, I just thought it was because my heat wasn't on. What is the best cheap electric guitar for Blues/Country?

I'm a grad student, so money is a big hurdle, but I'd like to get a decent quality electric guitar mainly for country and blues. When looking at Kobe, you have to look at the whole picture, not just the stats and rings. Yes, those stats you mentions are not better than Lebron's, and probably never will be. Lebron's game is more of ping the ball, and getting to the rim. Yes, Lebron can take over any game he wants, but truth be told, Lebron still has some good players alongside him, Z, Gooden, Hughes. But the most important thing that separates Kobe from all other players, is that he does it both ways. Thats the key for me. Lebron, Wade, Nash, Dirk, they are all great offensive players, and Wade and Lebron do get steals, but they dont have to guard the other teams top player, and then have to turn around and be the goto guy. I think that is what separates Kobe from even Jordan. Now you say Jordan rarely saw single coverage, but then again, the L wasn't allowed to play zone, so all he saw was single coverage. Yes, they did triple team him, but that was help defense. And then, when I think about it, who were the top guards back in the day that defended Jordan. I'll give you Starks and Dumars, but thats about it. Kobe has to go against the likes of Wade, Lebron, AI, Melo, VC, and still has to be the top scorer for his team. I have a motion sensored digital CCTV which picks up birds, cats, blowing crisp packets, children, & everything else that ends up on my property. However, we have a shared driveway which the neighbours use to walk up - and the woman who lives next door is apparently invisible!! It sounds like you have anxiety with a large dash of OCD. I used to be like that. Every time a plan flew over our house I would panic because I thought it was going to bomb us to crash-land on us. Why is my car heater not working?

Many many years ago, daylight saving time was enacted primarily so the farmers (of which there were many before corporations took over) would have more daylight to bring in the harvest. Later on (1950's or so) it was kept because children were getting hurt on the way to school, driver's couldn't see them. But in this day and age, with the technology the few farmers who are left have and modern conveniences like school busses and street lighting, clock adjustment seems unneccessary to me. 7 states in the united states of america don't recognize daylight saving time. Let me tell you something, all throughout high school I was 6'1" tall and weighed only 120 lbs. It was humilating, four years of non-athleticism, depression, ostracism and datelessness, but as I got older, my fast metabolism slowed down, at one point I ballooned up to 172 lbs. b/c of an unhealthy diet and a sedentary way of life. However, I no longer eat meat, fish, poultry, dairy, eggs, fried food, alcohol, high fructose corn syrup, cola....I stick to fruit juices, water, beans, rice, pasta, fruits, vegetables, soy....and as a result I am at an ideal weight. Why do people who stuff their faces with fast food and Cola and fried food and high fructose corn syrup lamen their weight gain? Yes, some people have problems with their metabolism (I have been there), but seriously isn't the obesity epidemic really just a result of poor living and bad choices and the fault of those who pursue this reckless way of life instead of being disciplined? The imagery is good and the basic message seems to be on-point. But to a large degree, this is merely a jumble of phrases, with no attention to rhyme, rhythm, or pattern. Essentially, is not poetry. Good ideas, and the basic underpinnings of a solid essay.

There are some hotels across from the park. The only one of these I would suggest would be The Red Roof Inn. The prices are reasonable, the rooms and pool are clean, and the staff is friendly. Do not stay at the Days Inn there, that place is not good. Busch Gardens isn't in the best area of town, so if you want to do more than the park you should look in the Temple Terrace area, they have a nice Hampton Inn there.

I was working with a company since 0ct'09 till Apr'10 . Company was very irregular in paying salaries. they paid october salary on 15th nov. then they used to pay salaries in installments, like 5000/- once, after somedays anither 5000/-. like this it carried on. I bought a 6week old holland lop on sunday and i think it's sick. like it has not alot but a tene-tini bit of crust in her eyes and it looks like it had just taken a bath and gotten dried off. and on her ears she has fur but you can still see some of the vains in her ears. and she's breathing really hard. i attempted listening to her heart and like the first 10 or so beats are loud and the next 2 or 3 beats are quiet. she's stays in a hutch in the garage and she's eating drinking and going to the bathroom fine and i put like 1-3 FROZEN water bottles in case she gets hot. What does the SPSS warning light mean on my 2006 Suzuki Forenza?

The warning light on my dashboard that looks like a steering wheel with an exclamation point has been lit for the past week or so. In my owner's manual it says that it is the SPSS or Speed Sensitive Power Steering warning light. Help! I'm 36 years old & have had Shingles type pain and tenderness on my skin on my mid back and rib area...

I have had this for 5 days now, but no sign of the shingles rash yet, just the pain as if. I have never had Shingles, but I know someone who did and they went through something similar, yes I have had chicken pox already. I am relatively healthy all around, and the only symptom I have had is this surface skin tenderness/sun burning sensations in the isolated spots mentioned above. There is NO rash or redness yet but I did get a small swelt like bump near the tenderness site on my back. I don't have a fever and only today I have been experiencing some muscle weakness. No this isn't a bug bite or an allergic reaction. Is this Shingles or something close?? I will see a doc soon but wanted to get some feedback and do research b4 docs start putting me on unnecessary meds, etc while trying to figure out what it could be. THANKS!

Brava dear girl. You write well. However you have a gift for the run-on sentences. Brake them up with more periods and you will develop a better rhythm. Or at the least use semi-colons. "She never thought about anyone (else's) feelings" needs correcting. Don't use slang on an academic paper ( huffing, kush?) it's not a novel. She came home high one night... Strike out (one night) or put it earlier in the sentence. You write that the school called your father to question her attendance and said she had not been there since the second day, though you failed to tell the reader if school had started just one week earlier or if it had begun six months ago. This would make a significant difference in the severity of her truancy. And I'm sure the reader would find that important. You are a fine writer, however your final part in quotes is confusing. It's not clear if you are truly seeing her or if it is only a visualization. And if it is a real meeting, where is it at... your room, her place, a party?

Dam power supply frustration...?

They said its easy, not until you get into it. Im so pissed right now with all these problems with my pc and stuff and now i got a bigger problem, replacing the power supply. Its very interesting that the power supply 450W doesnt come with any instructions whatsoever. So i unplugged the power supply and opened the case, then i unscrewed the back screws and took the power supply out, now i unplugged all the connections, was only like 4 actually, no problem (true there were sum hanging). I now unpack the new power supply and notice its got like 12 connections. What could be the problem with my cars wheel?

I have a 1999 Plymouth Neon DOHC 2.0L and i have been having problems with the front end.,. The problem is that sometimes, usually only during braking, The car vibrates pretty bad, and sometimes it makes a scraping noise as well,My brother also told me that he saw my tire wobble as I drove off the other day. At first I thought it was a tie rod, but i checked it and it seemed fine, the ball joints also seem fine, i swapped out the tire and it still proceeds to vibrate and shake mostly during braking. I am thinking it might be warped rotors, but i have no pedal pulsation, the steering wheel does wiggle a little when traveling forward though.... any thoughts?

This will undoubtably lower the quality of care, for instence if every car on the car lot was free everyone would rush and swoop one up, just imagine the cars being the doctors and the medicine, this means the government will vastly have to supply more and more medicine which is going to cost an unimaginable amount of money (more debt) and there will be a shortage of doctors, thus which brings about rationing, or who gets the treatment and who doesn't. We just threw away the best healthcare system in the world for a "fantasy" that will, mark my words turn into chaos. Not to mention that our faithful leaders haven't even READ the bill! I'm no longer considering myself a democrat nor am I voting them back. I was once so stupid to believe Obama stood for hope and change, but it's the same mind exploding fusteration Bush gave us. I've been working out for about a month now, and I have decided to use heavy weights with which I can only do between 10 and 15 reps without needing rest, increasing the weight lifted progressively every month. Would it be more effective however to use a lighter weight and do more repetitions?

I think New York and Cali are like two different planets. I think New York is hustle and bustle and in most parts of Cali the people are very "chill". I would also say that there are fake people in both places, I think that people in California may be a little more obsessed about keeping up appearances. I grew up in New York City and as stated in the previous posts, I have never really noticed that New Yorkers were rude. Some of them are busy which may appear rude because they are always on the go but when it comes down to it some of the nicest and most open minded people in the world reside in NYC.

How can i REALISTICALLY improve this eating regimen??

you are doing fantastic already but your calories are actually a tad low for the day. you are eating about 1,100 calories. you could eat more lean meat like chicken or tuna. and making your bread "whole grain or whole wheat" would be fantastic (if you're not already) sneek in more fruits and veggies whenever you can. also make sure you're not hungry EVER, that will deteriorate your -metabolism --which is how many calories you're burning. all in all you are doing well, you just seem like youre eating a little under what you should be because if you are as active as you say, your muscles need recovery fuel. good luck :)
