How do you gain more subscribers on YouTube?

Go to other peoples accounts and ask them to watch. Also it would be good if you update regularly so they could have something to watch every so often. You don't need to post something up everyday but every other day or every week is fine. Also, make videos about stuff that appeals to all ages on youtube. Stuff that everyone thinks is entertaining and funny or other things.
