Why ? so many problems educating students re: Finance, teachers, university places, and lack of them, More?

When we have the the internet and all that it entails at our disposal, I just don't understand why kids have to miss out on a university degree because of lack of money or university places or teachers or whatever. I never had any schooling past the eleven plus and I would hate to think there are youngsters still suffering today,( especially in the so called civilised western world )
