My mom was crying yesterday, i dont know what to do?

My dad's visa expired and he had to leave the US yesterday. When my mom came home to drive me to my cello lesson, she started crying, and i wanted to cry too but held back. I don't know what I can do to help my mom, i feel horrible right now.
