Help! I'm 36 years old & have had Shingles type pain and tenderness on my skin on my mid back and rib area...

I have had this for 5 days now, but no sign of the shingles rash yet, just the pain as if. I have never had Shingles, but I know someone who did and they went through something similar, yes I have had chicken pox already. I am relatively healthy all around, and the only symptom I have had is this surface skin tenderness/sun burning sensations in the isolated spots mentioned above. There is NO rash or redness yet but I did get a small swelt like bump near the tenderness site on my back. I don't have a fever and only today I have been experiencing some muscle weakness. No this isn't a bug bite or an allergic reaction. Is this Shingles or something close?? I will see a doc soon but wanted to get some feedback and do research b4 docs start putting me on unnecessary meds, etc while trying to figure out what it could be. THANKS!
