Could you please help me correct my grammar? This is a small part of my essay.?

When I first came to the U.S., I had low self-esteem because I could not speak English fluently. That was why I wanted to work as a customer service with a minimum wage just to improve my English. As a result, I speak English well, which raised my self-esteem. If I had too much self-esteem like my brother, I did work as a customer service because I had a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Consequently, a little problem cause by low self-esteem is fixable, but with too much self-esteem is harder to solve. The problem with self-esteem is it can be based on nothing more than our own thought pattern.
