Can anyone help me figure this out (short question)?

I just started dating a guy who is a friend of a guy I was previously hooking up with. Let's call the guy I'm dating Eddie and the guy I used to hook up with Carl. So Carl didn't seem serious enough, so I kept my options open and when I met Eddie I liked him and he asked me out. Eddie didn't know anything about me and Carl hooking up but realised that we knew each other, so he asked Carl about me, what I am like etc. Apparently Carl told him I'm a really nice girl and Eddie was like no tell me more so he said I am more than nice, a decent girl, etc... . In the meantime I got upset about something Carl did and so I deleted him from my facebook friends. Eddie noticed this and then subtly mentioned it. I said I can't remember why I erased Carl and that I don't even know him that well. Eddie is really curious about me and Carl and keeps asking me trick questions to find out if we ever dated and how we met etc. I also mentioned to Eddie that a guy we know asked me out next week (and told him I said no) and his first guess was that it was Carl. What's up, what could Carl have said about me? It seems like Eddie think Carl likes me..
